23rd August 1991 saw the end of a fortnight's summer play scheme for children at Tarvin Community Centre and hence the headline hence the Chester Chronicle headline "Time to Stop Play"

The scheme was arrange by Mrs Bebbington and Mrs Ross and money for the event was provided by Tarvin Parish and Chester City councils.

Tarporley High School sent older pupils to help with the scheme.

Enjoying a game of table soccer at Jane Astbury, Kate and Lucy Piggin, Gayle Carswill, Catherine Menzies, Rebecca Roberts and Claire Crimes.

Filling in their colouring competition enteries are Gillian Davies, Debbie Kilgallon, Tracy Adams and Pamela Kirk.
