Tarvin this week – the Six Nations in Future!

For lovers of the oval ball, February 5th, saw the start of the great national festival that is the Rugby Six Nations Tournament. Rugby lovers will be able to enjoy some of the best rugby in the world as the four home nations, plus France and Italy, battle it out in some fierce matches.

Watching with particular interest will be the young people who attend Rugby Tots at the Community Centre on a Saturday morning. Will from Rugby Tots said "Our young enthusiasts will be able to see some of Europe's best players and this will create plenty of enthusiasm as they practice their skills on a Saturday morning"

Rugby Tots offers classes for 3 ages groups, 2years to 3 ½ years, £ to 5 years and 5 to 7 years and there are places in all classes. Classes are open to girls as well as boys – think how successful the England Women's team has been recently.

Of course, the classes are also about co-ordination, team work, ball skills and having fun and the chance of a rugby international career from these classes is probably not very high. But Marcus Smith, Louis Rees-Zammit. Fin Russell and Jonny Sexton had to start somewhere, and anything is possible.
