Below is the text of the notice from Cheshire West and Chester Council of temporary road closures for Tarvin Village Fete on Saturday 1st July.

(Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council intends to make an Order in accordance with the provisions of Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect will be to prohibit vehicular traffic on roads in Tarvin to enable the Tarvin Village Fete to take place on Saturday 1st July 2023.

The following lengths of road will be closed from 11:15 to 12:00:

Hockenhall Lane (from Crossfields to High Street)

Crossfields (from Hockenhall Lane to Meadow Close)

The following lengths of road will be closed from 11:15 to 11:45:

High Street (from Hockenhall Lane to Church Street)

Church Street (70 metres from High Street)

Nothing in the Order shall prevent driving upon the said lengths of road of any vehicle which is beingused in an emergency for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.

The promoter of this event is Adam Friend, Vicar of Tarvin.
