In a change to the format from previous years because of fewer teams entering the 2nd round wasn't a knockout round. Each of the 6 winning teams from the first round matches played twice against 2 different opponents and the two highest scoring teams went head to head in the final.

The random draw for the first of the matches had taken place the previous week and resulted in:

Deansway Crescent (32) v Tarvin Tennis Club (23)
Tarvin Methodist Church (24) v The Nervous Tics (21)
Tarvin Meeting Point (25) v The George Heath Foundation (29)
The George Heath Foundation (33) v Tarvin Tennis Club (24)
The Nervous Tics (25) v Deansway Crescent (27)
Tarvin Meeting Point (33) v Tarvin Methodist Church (25)

This resulted in the "League Table" looking like this:

The George Heath Foundation 29 + 33 = 62
Deansway Crescent 32 + 27 = 59
Tarvin Meeting Point 25 + 33 = 58
Tarvin Methodist Church 24 + 25 = 49
Tarvin Tennis Club 23 + 24 = 47
The Nervous Tics 21 + 25 = 46

The final saw the Deansway Crescent team of David Thorp, Kirsty Thorp, Phil Miles and Rachael Lloyd take on The George Heath Foundation trustees team of Bruce Lister, Gaynor Heath, Louise Brunsdon and John Brunsdon – and it was a very close run contest, with only one correct answer separating the teams at the conclusion. The GHF team scoring 30 compared to the Deansway Crescent score of 28.
