Bridget reported on the recent trip to Llandudno by coach to see the very popular drama 'The Play That Goes Wrong'. A number of ladies took advantage of the beautiful weather to enjoy the views from the Great Orme Tramway that will surely make lasting memories. This was followed by the walks along the pier and frequent coffee and lunch breaks. Members returned home after watching the hilarious play contented with a perfect day at the seaside.

More events are in store for us before the year ends too. We can all look forward to Posh Hats and Afternoon Tea, Bury Market and 'The Girls' musical in Liverpool.
Christmas Lunch will be held at Willington Hall and in between we are all kept busy with our monthly sub group meetings of The Book Club, The Strollers, The Craft Group, The Writing Group and of course, The Ladies Who Lunch Club.

Visiting Speaker.

We were delighted to welcome Susan Leicester who has described herself as being enthusiastic and can, she thinks, motivate people. She says she thinks outside the box and never goes anywhere in a straight line. Her talk on The Seven Ages of Women certainly proved that her assessment of herself was correct. She even dressed up to further illustrate her message.

She kept our attention by relating closely to us, highlighting female problems and making us aware that we all have had similar experiences. In particular, her recollections of a) going for a mammogram and b) choosing a new swimsuit were hilarious.
She left us with one thought -- Annoy at least one stranger every day, remember a stranger is only a friend you didn't know. Sue Gregory thanked her for taking us all back over the years and commented what a talented woman she was.

The President closed the meeting at 9.30 pm with a big thank you to Susan and to everyone for attending.

The next meeting will be on Wednesday 31st October at the usual time of 7.30 pm in The Edna Rose Room at Tarvin Community Centre.

The Speaker is Heather Griffiths with Motions of the Ocean. If you would like to join us as a visitor we would be delighted to welcome you.
