The Gardening Society went off to Tattenhall Hall on the evening of Tuesday, 21st June. Karen Gerrard has shared her photographs.
Tattenhall Hall is a Jacobean Manor House. The extensive gardens manage to draw a fine fine line between cultivated and wild.
Two gardening mad couples from London bought the house and its four and a half acre garden in 1994.
Moving to a house with much larger grounds gave them the opportunity to design and cultivate a huge garden complete with a large natural pond, nuttery, wildflower meadows, and a walled garden.
Ed: What a lovely place – I didn't even know it was possible to visit this place!
