From Cheshire West and Chester Council and Colas ...

Cheshire West and Chester Council and Colas will be carrying out carriageway resurfacing works to improve Burton Road, Duddon between Leadgate Lane and Burton Farm. Works will take place from Monday 18th , Tuesday 19th and Wednesday 20th December between 8am and 5pm.

Please note essential information about these works below:

A road closure will be in place during these times. Please make sure that all vehicles are removed from Burton Road through the roadworks area itself between the hours of 07:45 – 17:00 (7:45am to 5pm), this will help us undertake the work safely and keep disruption to a minimum.

Please note that these works are weather dependent, and dates may change subject to weather conditions.

A road closure will be required to ensure both the safety of the public and work force. Burton Road through this section will be fully closed to traffic. A diversion route will be in place – please see the detailed map overleaf.

We appreciate that this work will cause disruption, however access for residents and businesses will be maintained where possible. Vulnerable residents and businesses with special access needs (for carers, essential deliveries, and potential medical emergencies) are encouraged to contact CWandCHighways@Colas.co.uk or the contact centre on 0300 123 7036 so we can plan to help you.

If unplanned access is needed in and out of the working area, please proceed to the point of closure and inform the gateman of where you are intending to get to. When safe to do so, will you be allowed access through the working site. Please remember there will be an amount of waiting time and that there will be operatives using heavy machinery within the road so please proceed with caution and at a speed of no more than 10 mph.

A certain amount of inconvenience is inevitable with work of this type and we greatly appreciate your patience whilst the works are being undertaken. As a member of the Considerate Constructors Scheme, we will take all available steps to minimise noise and disruption.

We are committed to ensuring that Cheshire's highways are safe and well maintained, and we obtain best value from maintenance works. For further information, please go to www.cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk, or follow us on Twitter @Go_CheshireWest.
