On 17th December, we reported how Ben Cheadle, a 15 year old living in Tarvin, has the opportunity to take part in a school expedition to Borneo in South East Asia in the summer of 2017. During the trip they will be undertaking voluntary work involving local communities and conservation projects.

Ben's first project to raise funds for the trip was to collect and dispose of local residents Christmas trees and Ben has asked Tarvinonline pass on his appreciation and thank everyone who supported his first project.

Ben is determined, however, not to let the grass grow under his feet and has already announced his second project. This will involve Ben doing a Car Wash on the following Saturdays, 23rd. January, 27th February, and 26th March.

If your car needs a wash Ben invites you to bring it along to Deighton Bank, Church Street, Tarvin, CH3 8NA between 9am and 1pm. £5 per car.
