U3a Speaker Great British Eccentrics – Paul Robbins

Tarporley & District u3a will be holding their next general meeting on Thursday 23rd September at Tarporley Community Centre from 10am (doors open at 9.45am) and via zoom from 9.45am. Speaker begins shortly after 10am following a few notices. Meeting ends by 12 noon. Speaker is Paul Robbins, a presenter, historian and author, talking about Great British Eccentrics. Paul takes you on a light-hearted journey that looks at some of the great characters from our past like the Lord who spent many hours floating in a large indoor glass water tank writing rude letters to the Prime Minister and to more recent times, some of the great eccentrics of the last 30 years.

This is described as a very amusing talk and had a good review in The Frost Magazine.
