The following is a news item from the Parish Council ....
At the Parish Council (PC) meeting last week the meeting noted that, following an appeal, the independent Planning Inspectorate had approved the traveller site established off the A51 road near Okells.
The Council was disappointed in this outcome but has to accept the position. The approval comes with a number of conditions and the main ones are summarised below. The PC will be seeking a meeting with CWaC Planning Enforcement to learn how these conditions will be monitored for compliance.
The actual approval is for a family traveller site consisting of 1 static caravan, 3 trailer caravans, a day room, septic tank and landscaping.
The conditions include:
No more than one commercial vehicle for use by the occupiers of the caravans to be stationed, parked or stored on the site
No commercial activities to take place on the land, including storage of materials
By 26th May 2024 a scheme to have been submitted to CWaC for written approval covering the following:
CWaC has until 26th January 2025 to approve the scheme. If it does so then the development is automatically approved.
