Village Fete 2019

In 2019, our Village Fete will be held on Saturday June 15th and plans are well underway.

One of the most loved parts of the event is the Procession and the crowning of this year's Fete King and Queen.

This week letters have gone into the primary schools in Tarvin and Duddon inviting parents to put their children's names forward to be selected, not only to be King or Queen but also to be part of their retinue of princes, princesses, lords and ladies.

We'll also be choosing the important children who carry the decorated canopy and those who hold up the great train worn by the queen herself.

The reply slip at the bottom of the letter must be returned before the schools close for half term on February 15th so if you would like your child to be a part of our Grand Procession, make sure yours is returned before then.

If you live in Tarvin or Oscroft and your child doesn't attend either of our local schools, you can obtain a letter from the library or by emailing us at tarvinfete@btinternet.com

We'll be making the selection at the Fete Coffee Morning on March 23rd in the Methodist Church on the High Street. Please put this important date into your diaries.
