Having spent the last few months in almost total isolation I decided this week that I wanted to be more self-sufficient and would collect a prescription for my husband from the village pharmacy. I needed to have had no concerns, their arrangements were excellent and have been for months.

So for those who have to start to spread their wings and venture into the outside world again I am writing to ease your concerns.

The delivery service provided by the pharmacy for the vulnerable has been brilliant, always with a greeting and cheery smile from Rachel. We have been very grateful for it during these strange times that we have had to get used to.

My trips from home have been to Delamere forest and Primrose wood to walk my dog where I have felt very safe. I have recently visited Okells to buy a gift and again felt safe. My hair was reduced by several inches this week and that too was well organised.

I hope that this short article will help to re-assure other elderly and/or vulnerable people that places you may now have to go are being made safe.

The shops and businesses that are open in Tarvin are all aware of the dangers and are doing their best to safeguard us all. I presume this will be true of other places when we have to venture further afield.
