Shed & Garage burglaries – Such outbuildings are being targeted by offenders, mainly overnight, stealing expensive pedal cycles and power tools. Officers are aware of the areas being targeted and are taking measures to deter future offences and to arrest the offenders.

Road Safety – At this time of year, roads are often icey, hedges are thin, possibly allowing livestock to stray onto roads, and high winds regularly bring trees down. Police publicise as widely as possible where problems arise and also proactively target those who drive too fast for the conditions (note that this may be substantially less than the maximum speed limit)!

Antisocial Behaviour (ASB) – Most people think of ASB as rowdy youths causing damage and litter etc. However, ASB also manifests itself as drug abuse, drunken behavior and driving without the correct documentation or when not fit, thereby putting members of the public at risk. Local officers will work closely with communities to identify culprits and then to target their unsociable behavior.
