TCC Decorations come down 2015

Last Sunday (3rd. Jan) it was members of the Management Committee taking down the Community Centre Christmas decorations and this weekend it was the turn of Tarvin High Street to have its Christmas decorations taken down and carefully stored away again for next year.

First down were the Christmas trees.











This was followed by the tricky job of unhooking the lights from the trees — pole dancing came to mind!

Unlike many or our neighbouring villages, Tarvin has had no maps on display of our historic village centre Conservation Area. Tarvin Civic Trust thought that posting a display somewhere in the village centre might fit the bill. We considered display boards of all shapes and sizes but where would we put them? Then we lit on the idea of posting a display on the back window of the bus shelter...

Parents, carers and eagle eyed members of the community may have noticed that a concrete slab has been laid adjacent to the entrance to the playground at the Primary School.For those weren't aware this will house cycle shelters so that bikes and scooters can be protected from the weather during the school day. Following a questionnaire to parents the school understands that should cycling...
