It is traditional to give up fattening foods for Lent but why not consider the following idea from Cycling UK which could also help your health and those of others: With so many of our journeys being short distances, ditching the car keys for trips under 5 miles could make a huge difference.

Most of us within Tarvin Village live less than 1 mile from Tarvin shops. Why not try walking or cycling to the village instead of driving? If you are feeling more ambitious and confident Chester is only 6 miles away. Once you get there by bike you will have spent nothing on fuel and have free parking available in the centre of town.

Ed: Cycling UK states that 68% of car trips are under 5 miles.
