Whilst the majority of people can enjoy a pleasant drink in a public place, whether it's havinga picnic with a bottle of wine, enjoying a beer with friends in a public space or chilling with a cheeky Gin and tonic, unfortunately, alcohol consumption by some people in public spaces can occasionally lead to unwanted nuisance or annoyance to other members of the public.

The Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) gives the police and authorised Council officers the authority to confiscate alcohol from any person who is drinking alcohol in a public place and is causing, or likely to cause, ASB, disorder, nuisance, or annoyance to members of the public.

In order to renew the PSPO the Council is required to carry out a review and we would like to hear your views.

More information on this and the survey can be found at: Alcohol Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) consultation | Cheshire West and Chester Council
