Tickets are still available for the Concert at the Community Centre on Saturday April 2nd when the Chicago Swing Katz will be playing great music in the traditional swing style. Their music reflects the era of bands featuring Kenny Ball, Chris Barber and Acker Bilk and they will be joined by Paul Sawtell, credited as one of the country's finest jazz pianists.
Vice Chair Sue Hardacre said " Band Leader, and drummer, Mike Carnie is a new Tarvin resident and approached the Committee recently and offered to do a gig. After the success of the Bluebird Belles, we thought that the music of those earlier decades would appeal and were happy to take Mike up on his offer. It is also wonderful to have live music at the Centre again."
The Hall will be set out in 'cabaret style' and there will be plenty of room for dancing – or jiving or jitterbugging or even smooching! Needless to say , the bar will be open.
Tickets are only £12.50 and can be bought from Tarvin Post Office or on-line at www.ticketsource.co.uk/tarvincommunitycentre . They will also be available on the door so do come along let your hair down a little and enjoy an entertaining evening.
