The date for the Annual Parish Meeting has been set for Wednesday May 18th 2016. It will be held in the Edna Rose Room of the Community Centre and start at 7.00pm.
The meeting is a legal requirement and invites the public to hear reports on the year's business from both the Parish Council and other local organisations. The public have an opportunity to comment and question all the reports, to raise questions and to make the Parish Council aware of any concerns. These will then be added to the next formal agenda for consideration.
The Parish Council hopes that a good cross-section of the public will attend. In recent months it has been questioning the ways that it reacts to and communicates with residents, and is looking to improve this dialogue.
The Annual Parish Meeting is an ideal opportunity for the residents to meet their Council in person and it is hoped that many will accept the invitation and exercise their legal right to question those who represent them.
To make the invitation irresistible – tea, coffee and biscuits will be served!
