It is now possible for residents of Tarvin – or indeed residents of anywhere – to book tickets for the forthcoming children's theatre production Whatever the Weather, on line.

Tarvin Community Centre, together with four other Rural Touring Promoters, are taking part in a pilot scheme to bring this up-to-date piece of technology to the village.

To access this go to www.cheshireruraltouringarts.ticketsource.co.ukand press on the right buttons!

Sue Hardacre from the Community Centre says "We are delighted to be taking part in this pilot and believe it will provide an extra service for our customers who rely more and more on the internet to organise their lives. The ticketing platform has been chosen for its simplicity, flexibility and security. No financial data AT ALL will be available to the Community Centre but will be stored and managed by Ticket Source's own systems. Purchasers will be able to print out their own tickets, but even if they fail to bring them along, the Community Centre will have a list of purchases."

The system will allow anyone who finds it difficult to get to the Post Office to buy tickets securely, and at a time of their own choosing, a boom for busy people. There will be a booking fee, though this declines as the total of the ticket purchase increases.

The service will only be available for CRTA productions, and details of The Snow Queen will be on the system soon. The Community Centre hope that the new system will help them increase audiences for the productions and to bring new people in through their doors.
