The Parish Council's special project this year had been to formalise the gap in the Ridgeway hedge to allow safe access to the footpath that runs along the side of the A54. However, mainly because of restrictions caused by the pandemic, Cheshire West and Chester Council (CWaC) Highways has been unable to approve the project.
The project has been put off until 2021/22 but may be delayed again (if CWaC does not approve the scheme or asks for changes to its siting).
The PC agreed that at its March meeting it will look at alternative projects.
If CWaC requires the gap to be moved then residents of the Ridgeway will be consulted again
