Introducing the New Bin Collection Service

A new service is being rolled out across the borough from Monday 14 February 2022. The roll out plan will see around 12,000 households a month on average receiving their new containers.The new bins will be delivered to households one round at a time between February and November 2022.

As the flyer shows, the current green and grey recycle boxes that currently have to be carried to the collection point will be replaced by two wheelie bins with blue and red tops. Because the new bins are larger than boxes collections will be changing from weekly to fortnightly and will be collected on alternate weeks to your black general household waste bin. A significant additional benefit is that the more secure recycling bins will reduce the risk of littering both before and during collections.

The brown food waste container will continue to be collected every week.
