Major crash on M56 near Frodsham

We have just received notification of a major incident on the M56 near Frodsham at 12.03 Avoiding the area is strongly advised as the motorway is closed in both directions.

Fire-fighters are currently in attendance at a serious road traffic collision on M56 involving multiple vehicles. The collision involves a bus with no passengers, two heavy goods vehicles and a car. Motorists are advised to avoid the area as there is significant traffic disruption with the carriageway currently closed in both directions.
