All Around Tarvin

It is with regret that the concert on Saturday evening by the Merseysippi Jazz Band has been CANCELLED. The event had been planned as a final flourish to celebrate the Village Fete, but to date only ONE ticket has been sold at the Post Office.
Alan Wilkinson, Chair of the Committee said "We don't like having to cancel things but we really felt that by this time we should have had a bit of a bigger commitment from people. Too small an audience just doesn't create a convivial atmosphere. We had the opportunity to cancel today without any financial penalty, and after much discussion we decided not to go ahead".
Saturday will be a very busy day for everyone in the village whether they are taking part or just coming along to enjoy the fun. There will be a lot of great things to do and lots of wonderful ways to spend your money.
