The Community Centre Committee have installed a new bench on the paved area in front of the building. Together with the flower planters, this will provide a pleasant area for visitors to rest and relax.
Chair Ted Lush says, " We are always looking for ways to enhance the facilities for people who visit the Centre. We are particularly grateful for out local Councillors, John Leather and Harry Tonge, who have contributed to part of the cost from their member's budget."
While the care of the grounds is the responsibility of Chester West and Chester Council as landlords, the upkeep of the planters has been undertaken for some time now by Mrs Heather Excell, who ensures that they are kept looking at their best – though the severe winter weather has been quite devastating to some of the plants. With the return of warmer weather, colour will soon be restored.
