5th Annual Community Exhibition

October 22nd and 23rd will see Tarvin Primary School holding its 5th Annual Community Exhibition and the school would like to invite the local community along between 3pm & 7:30pm to view our wonderful children's work. There is free entry and refreshments.
The idea of the exhibition is to give an audience to our pupils and we have hundreds of villagers come to see the displays each year. The theme is changed each year and the learning for the term is built around the theme – leading up to the exhibition. This is a major part of our school year and we put on a magnificent display that fills our school hall.
Previous exhibitions have been titled "Into the Forest" "From the wheel to the cloud" "Dancing Round the Isles" and "On our Doorstep".
In the past it has been visited and supported by Mayors and our MP.

This year the title is "To infinity and beyond" and there is a space theme.

The theme this year was launched by the spaceship landing.

Parents were texted on the first morning to warn them that a spaceship had landed in school and they were to tell their children. The children were very excited to come onto the playground on the first morning to find the spaceship, some mysterious green

slime and scientists analysing the scene.

A news crew came to hear reports from the children and a film was produced that will be part of the exhibition. Children came up with some fantastic theories about the spaceship and it really fired their imaginations.
We have seen the space theme in every area of the curriculum. The start to term has been incredibly exciting with the spaceship, birdhide grand opening, all 201 children viewing the tour of Britain go past and trips to both Joddrell bank and spaceport – all within the first three weeks.
