Tarvin History Revealed -New Vicar

St Andrew's Church in Tarvin welcomed a new vicar in March 1987.
From the Tarvin History Group scrapbooks, the Rev.Alan Backhouse, a native of the North-West, arrived in Tarvin with his wife, Christine and three sons.

Before moving to Tarvin he was vicar at St.Mark's, New Ferry, and Port Sunlight on the Wirral.
