A couple of days ago we highlighted the Procession on Saturday 28th from the Ridgeway finishing at Tarvin Community Centre around 1.30pm.
The Fete will then be opened by the Sheriff of Chester, Councillor Herbert Manley at the Community Centre car-park and the Fete King (Fletcher Harvey-Hunt) and Queen ( Leah Barnham ) will be crowned.
Open Air Concert
Throughout the afternoon there will be an Open Air Concert at the Community Centre lead by theFarndon Brass Band.
The Morris Dancers who were also in the parade will give 2 performances as will the local Kelsborrow Choir. Finally we will have St Andrew's Youth Choir.
Refreshments
Tarvin Methodist Church will be providing Café Style Refreshments in the Edna Rose Room or if you prefer there will be a Beer Tent on the Community Centre car-park. A Retro Ice Cream Van and Candy Floss machine will no doubt be in demand for our younger visitors. Choose between Burgers and Hot Dogs from Sheaf farm or a Cake selection from the stall run by St. Andrew's Church.
Stalls
As well as stalls selling crafts and bling and buy, there will be Henna Tattoos, Hair Spraying, Face Painting and Nails.
Also there will be several traditional activities such as tombola, lucky dip and many others to keep all the family entertained.
Competitions
These will be in the main hall
Hopefully there will be also be a Tug of War Tournament – but on the Recreation Field!
When all this is over there will be a short break to gather breath before the evening's Jazz Band entertainment starts in the Community Centre. ( More about this to follow)
