Tickets to the two spring-season Cheshire Rural touring Arts shows are now on sale in the Post Office.

The Community Centre has always been very clear that it should bring theatre performances to a young audience. So on Sunday April 22nd at 3.00 pm they are delighted to be presenting One Man Shoe, a delightful piece of physical theatre with magic, clowning, juggling – but no words. Watch bumbling theatre caretaker Jango realise his dream when he is unexpectedly thrust into the limelight. Though billed for ages 5 – 95, the following review from an audience member indicates that younger children may also enjoy the show.

"I bought my 2yr old and 6yr old. They both enjoyed all of it. They were kept entertained throughout which is quite an achievement! We all liked the character that Jango created-full of fun. The no talking made it more accessible for a wide age range and made it more imaginative."

The following review from The Scotsman says

"This hapless clown manages to make the most simple procedures laughably complex."

Tickets are £7 and £5 and the show will last for about an hour plus an interval.

In another departure from the norm, Saturday May 5th at 7.30 pm will see the arrival in the Community Centre of two wild men! Wild Men of the Baroque are Piers Adams and David Wright, two virtuoso musicians and internationally renowned performers on the concert recorder and harpsichord. Their intention is to bring a traditional style of music to a modern audience, though works by Debussy and Pizzolla are on the programme as well as earlier composers. It will appeal to anyone who loves hearing great music played well. Tickets are £10 with a £6 ticket for any music lovers who are still in full-time education.
