Unfortunately there seems to have been a bit of an "unplanned interruption" of the water supply on the A54 going towards Kelsall.

United utilities are working to fix the problem, but this means that temporary traffic lights are in place.

"Due to the complexity and location of the repair on Kelsall Road, work will be ongoing for the next few days, all properties should have a water supply, your pressure may fluctuate during peak demand as we have moved water from a different area to maintain supply. We also have our water on wheels vehicles pumping into the main. Sorry for any disruption that this may be causing you."

UPDATE: Apparently the engineers have worked through the night and the works are supposedly completed.
Hopefully that means the traffic lights have gone! :)
