A54 Chester Road, Tarvin between High Street and Chester Road (Restricted hours between 20:00 to 06:00)

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit traffic on the following lengths of roads in Tarvin to enable Civil works to be carried out by Cheshire West and Chester Council.
Nothing in the Order shall prevent driving upon the said lengths of road of any vehicle which is being used for the conveyance of persons goods or merchandise to or from any premises situate on or adjacent to the lengths of road or in connection with agriculture building construction works of repair and the like or use in an emergency of vehicles for fire brigade ambulance or police purposes. A through route will not always be available and any vehicles not requiring access to properties on the length of road should use alternative routes.
The Engineer responsible for the work stated:-
"We are planning to install the island on an overnight closure on Tuesday 19 November starting at around 20:00. Traffic will be diverted via A51 Tarporley Road, A49 Forest Road and the A54 Chester Road. We will undertake the kerbing works either side on restricted hours (9:30 -- 15:30) on Monday 18th and Tuesday with temporary traffic signals. I will drop a letter into the fronting properties this week and will have a chat with the Co-op Thursday/Friday this week.
For details of the section of road affected and alternative routes see page 2 click here
The road closure notice, above, confirms the plan although it could change if the weather takes a real turn for the worst (but it looks ok). If anything changes I will let you know. The plan is to get a letter to the residents
